Supporting Indians & Art for 50 Years: The Baltimore American Indian Center (BAIC) is proudly celebrating 50 years of supporting Native Americans and Alaskan Natives in Baltimore. As a part of this celebration we are recognizing the Native artists in our community with a “Native Community Art Exhibition: BAIC Supporting Indians and Art for 50 Years”. A large part of the exhibit will include articles of regalia worn by community artists at cultural events, such as PowWow and special<br>ceremonial events. The basis for this art dates back thousands of years and is utilized today to keep our culture alive. Articles like clothing, beadwork, quillwork, jewelry, dance staffs, and wood carvings will be included in the exhibit.
